There are two things wrong with this picture, one may be more obvious than the other.

First of all the drain plug is partially rounded off and I had to use a special socket to get it off. Once I got it loosened I realized that there were two crush washers, one of them being so squashed that it looked like part of the oil pan. I don’t know who did the last oil change but they didn’t quite do it right.
