Steering and suspension parts have to be very strong for all the abuse they take over the lifetime of a car, so when they bend or break it’s usually impressive.
This is the left tie rod of a Honda Pilot that slid off the road. After looking it over we had to wait for an insurance agent to come by to check it over, so one of the mechanics tried to temporarily weld it back together so we could move it back outside. It worked for a little while but when I brought it back in it broke again. It’s really hard to steer a car when one wheel points in whatever direction it chooses.
