Today is a throwback to a post from 2 years ago, in January 2018.
Sometimes I wonder if people compete to bring in the worst condition car to get recalls done. This one was impressive.

This Civic has led a rough life. Rust, dents, bumper not very secure. But that’s not all.

Instead of a regular hood latch, the hood is being held closed by hood pins. These aren’t unusual for a race car or hot rod, but these are on a stock Civic. Not only that, but instead of cotter pins, there are mini padlocks.

The front grille has been screwed on, and there are a few dozen extra holes right in the middle. Of course the Honda emblem is missing.

Why use Honda wheel covers when you could use Ford ones? Is it a Fonda or a Hord?

Both rear door handles are broken off.

The rear view mirror is missing, and I’m not sure what that screw was put in for.

And the finishing touch, a chrome push button to start the engine instead of the ignition key.
