Toasted A/C Compressor

Dead batteries have been a common problem with a lot of people stuck at home in social distancing the last few months, but that’s not the only problem that can happen when a car sits for a long period of time.

This Honda Pilot sat for a while, and when it was finally started, the A/C compressor had seized. When the clutch would try to engage and turn the seized compressor, it would bog down the engine and almost stall, and the clutch got so hot that it started melting parts. A few hours of work and I had a brand new compressor, clutch, coil, and pulley installed.
