A customer came in with a few problems to diagnose. One of them was that none of their accessory sockets worked. The most common problem is a blown fuse, but this was all of their sockets.
After checking the main fuse that controls the relays that power the sockets and finding it was okay, I checked the individual fuses for each socket, and found that every fuse was blown. What I’m guessing happened is they plugged something into one socket and it didn’t work, so they thought it was the socket that wasn’t working and tried all the others with the same device, and it was actually a problem with the device causing the fuses to blow, and by trying all four sockets, they blew all four fuses. I told the service advisor that the customer probably shouldn’t use whatever they were trying to plug in.
