More Animals in Cars

As I’ve written about before, wild animals and cars don’t mix. They can cause damage or get themselves injured or killed by getting in places they shouldn’t be. I once found a dead mouse in an air filter box.

The air filter box is a popular place for animals, often for hiding food. This is the second time I’ve seen one full of dog food that an animal has stashed away.

Another popular wild animal food is birdseed, and some industrious rodent seems to have decided that this air filter box is a good place to store some. Usually there’s a good length of tube before you get to the air filter so these animals must have a lot of time on their hands to bring all this stuff in through a long, twisty, slippery path.
