I was taking snow tires off of a newer Honda Accord and ran into a new problem. It usually doesn’t take me too long, but this time I was slowed down by the design of the wheels.
These factory wheels have a large groove on the inside where a set of weights are added when the wheel is manufactured, but the design of it includes abrupt edges. The problem with this is that they catch the bead of the tire when you’re trying to remove it. Even after doing three tires, it still took me a while to get the fourth one off even though I had started to figure out how to get them off.
