Sometimes for quick fixes on their car, when zip ties or duct tape won’t work, people turn to another common material: wood.

It’s a simple fix, and I don’t really have any problem with it. I’ve seen people replace battery hold-downs with bungee cords, which aren’t nearly secure enough. You don’t want your battery move around at all at any time.
