Rear Turn Signals

I’m a bigger fan of older car designs than the current ones a lot of the time. Sometimes it’s just the smallest design point that makes a big difference in the feeling of the whole design.

One of those features is the rear turn signals. Before around 2000, most cars had amber turn signal lenses, then started switching over to red, often combined with one of the brake lights, or have a clear lens with an amber bulb. To me, I feel like the amber turn signals are more interesting, or have more character. Having three colors in the rear lights instead of two can lead to more creativity in how they’re shaped and arranged.

Let me know if you want more commentary on car designs, I love looking at them.
