CR-V Animal Nest

A Honda CR-V was towed into the shop because it wasn’t responding to the gas pedal and could only be driven around at idle.

We opened the hood to find that an animal had ripped down most of the hood insulation and made itself a nest on top of the exhaust, and left bits of insulation all over the rest of the engine compartment. It also chewed through the throttle control wire, causing the problem.
