Dashboard Removal

Car interior work is never fun, because you always risk breaking an expensive trim piece or getting them dirty, or parts not going back together right. Probably one of the least favorite jobs of any mechanic is anything that requires the removal of the dashboard.

On a lot of cars if the air conditioning evaporator or heater core, or even the blower motor, needs to be replaced it requires the removal of the entire dashboard. Other possible causes would be a wiring harness replacement because a mouse chewed through a wire somewhere.

This car in particular was a recent purchase that had some damage to some of the trim on the top of the dashboard, so it had to be replaced.
